Case Studies

Case studies provide an insight into possibilities and opportunities available through Netco. The case studies highlight a range of best practice bespoke solutions.

Case Study EBL 1: Westminster Primary - Inclusion

Pupils from Westminster Primary School were involved in the production of a documentary style film that provided key information to new entrants to the school, who may also be new to English. The pupils were totally empowered in the planning, production and content of the film that now plays an important part in ensuring inclusion.

Case Study EBL 3: Ed Books Improving Literacy

Ed Books provides a wonderful and unique opportunity for young people to develop their literacy skills. They are provided with the information and tools to write and illustrate their own publication on a range of curriculum topics. Many of the books are commissioned and funded by external companies and organisations. Schools may directly commission a book production to promote curriculum development or school based values. All books completed are available on the Ed Creates website.

Case Study SRS 1: Ed TV

Ed TV is about young people making documentary films, either inside school as part of the curriculum or as an extra curricular activity. The young people are involved in all aspects of film making, taking ownership and responsibility for its production. The films are realistic and relevant and are in many cases sponsored by the business community or other organisations. Schools can directly commission film making to promote curriculum development or school based values. All the documentaries made are available on the Ed Creates website.
